For the Baby Boomer generation Arlo Guthrie is synonymous with Thanksgiving. His song “Allice’s Restaurant” practically defined how my generation felt about the war and the culture back in the late 60’s.
Still now, every Thanksgiving I try to make it a point of listening to that song. It always brings back a lot of emotion and often a tear to my eyes.
Our DJ, the always interesting, Big Kev, has put together a great interview with Arlo that expresses a lot of his current feeling about today’s culture and “state-of-the-world.” Plus it includes “Alice’s Restaurant” and his other hits.
We hope you enjoy it and maybe it brings a tear to your eyes too.
